2 ripe Cucumis sativus (Cucumbers )
1 L cold water
1 l rain-water
2 dessert spoons glycerine
1/2 teaspoon tincture of Benzoin (Styrax benzoin )
Preparation
Cut the cucumbers into small pieces, including their rinds. Put them in a pan with the cold water. Bring to a boil gradually Simmer for 20 minutes. Strain and squeeze through fine muslin or a jelly bay. When cold, mix with the rain-water, the glycerine and tincture of Benzoin. Apply to the skin PRN.
